Bringing Canal Street to Life with Music!

 

 

The Canal Street Historic District music scene kicks –off a new season with The 18th Annual New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival September 20-23. The Ray Guiser Volusia Sax Quartet will have a concert September 20, 2018. Jazz After Dark will feature seven acts at various venues throughout the New Smyrna Beach Historic District starting at 6pm until 10:30pm. The annual Blocktoberfest event takes place Saturday October 6, featuring 3 groups, Ron & Jim, The Ben Wilkins Duo and Smokehouse.
Paint Canal Pink on October 25 will headline local entertainer Christie Beu.

The 1st Saturday Antique and Vintage Fair November 3 will also feature music, stay tuned for more information on who will be performing.

Spark The Spirit November 23 is part of Christmas on Canal and music will be provided at the main stage by the Dave Capp Project featuring France Neil. Also appearing will be the Southeast Volusia Community Choir,  and The Daytona Carolers. Coastal Market on Canal St. November 24 will also bring the street to life with additional groups .  For Girls Night Out December 6, Alex and Jenny return for an encore show and will also feature Matt Duarte on a separate stage.

Music is always heard at the 1st Saturday Art Stroll with musicians playing at the corner of Christmas Park, in front of the HUB and at Arts on Douglas.

The HUB on Canal has a Music Night the 2nd Friday of every month and a Slo Jam takes place the 3rd Thursday of the month. Harmonica Jam will be presented at the HUB on Saturday, October 20 from 7 to 9pm. Several venues have live music throughout the months of September through December.
