LaAbilie’s Tea Room (new),114 Live Oak St., Nannie’s Soup – Ham/White Bean / Potato; Golden Biscuit, serving at Julie’s 231 Canal St. Vegetable Beef Soup; CorkScrew Bar & Grille, 235 Canal St., CorkScrew Bacon Cheeseburger Soup; Donna’s Creamery, 323 Canal St., Broccoli Cheese Soup; Little Drug Luncheonette, 412 Canal St., Shrimp Bisque; The Galley, 417 Canal St., Traditional Goulash; Thai Mango, 424 Canal St.,Tom Yum Creamy Soup; The American Legion serving inside Nature in Beauty, 426 Canal St., Seafood Gumbo.
Judges will pick the top three soups plus there will be a Peoples’ Choice Award for the favorite soup. This years judges are Mayor Russ Owen, Rebecca Simmons of Norwoods, and restaurateur Mike Mckenna. Ballots may be picked up at the information booth, corner of Canal and Live Oak Street the day of the event.
Tickets are $ 10 through February 1 and $ 15 the day of the event at the information booth only. You may purchase your tickets now at Southern Trends Home Furnishings 334 Canal St.; Julies 231 Canal St.; Butterfly Kisses for Kids at 207 Live Oak St. as well as at Publix Liquor on the beach-side.
The event is part of First Saturday on Canal Street that also includes Art Stroll, Gallery Walk and The Craft Beer Walk. Other events on this day include the Farmers Market on Sams avenue from 7:30 am until 1 pm and the City of New Smyrna Beach will sponsor Food Trucks on Sams Avenue starting at 3 pm.
